HOW ABOUT WE TAKE A MINUTE TO REALLY APPRECIATE THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION. IT IS THE PERFECT TIME TO GET TO KNOW EACHOTHER AS CLIENT & PHOTOGRAPHER, WHILE SHOWCASING THE FEELINGS THERE ARE BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR PARTNER.
This is probably one of my most favourite engagement sessions to date. An adventure with two people that I know quite well.
I've known both Maddy and Patrick a long time. They both have been best friends with my younger brother, for years. They're like extended family to me and I am still so honoured, that they've chosen me to photograph their engagement session and wedding day.
We started their session at Egan Chutes Falls in Bancroft. Walking the trail, taking in the fall colours, the calmness of the river at one end and how it turned into a force at the other. If you haven't checked out this little gem, I highly recommend it. It is actually considered a Provincial park (non- operating) and it was closed in 1989, being classified as a nature reserve. You can still explore the falls side and there are several crown land spots along the river that are open to the public. Heading back to their place, we stopped to grab pizza, mingled at a lake with a great view of the sunset and then took some photos on the road with a dramatic splash of autumn backdrop . Chasing that blue dusk light, we ended up incorporating the pizza into their photoshoot and doing a bottle pop of champagne, in the dark. So don't be afraid to have a little adventure during your engagement session. Being spontaneous, can leave you with the best results.
